Internships

FILM STUDIES INTERNSHIPS

One of the courses for the Minor in Film Studies and/or Undergraduate Certificate in Video Production may be satisfied with a qualifying internship through the Film Studies Program or associated departments. Students may also arrange their own internship experience with approval of the Director of the Film Studies Program.

Internships offer students experience in film-related activities outside the classroom. Previous internship activities have included researching audio/visual archive materials, assisting productions (commercial, documentary, music video), scriptwriting, non-profit film organizations, content creation for marketing agencies, public program-building and more.

In general, the duties and responsibilities assigned to interns will be directly related to their previous film experience in relation to their particular field of study to support their professional growth and career trajectory.
