FILM STUDIES scholarSHIPS
The Film Studies Program is committed to supporting the academic advancement of students from all cultural backgrounds and life experiences as they earn their Minor and/or Certificate while matriculating through their primary degree program.
Below is a list of scholarships available to Film Studies students. Check back as new opportunities are announced.
CHARLOTTE FILM SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
The Film Studies Program is pleased to announce the third Charlotte Film Society Scholarship is officially open for applicants.
The $500 scholarship, in its third year and made possible through our ongoing collaboration with the Charlotte Film Society, supports UNC Charlotte Film Studies Minor and Video Production Certificate students to support the next generation of film viewers, organizers and creators.
Eligibility:
- Film Studies Minors and Video Production Certificate Students
- Must have completed 9 of the required credits for the Minor / Certificate
- Submit an essay sharing their particular interest in film and how they plan to utilize film upon graduation
Applications are open until April 1st, 2023 and can be accessed via the NinerScholars Portal. The award winner will have the scholarship directly applied to support their matriculation in Film Studies and their primary degree program.
